I am a foodie and food brings flavour in my life.  I have heard about Kuzhi Paniyaram in Tamil, the other name of the dish is Paddu in Kannada or Gunta Ponganalu in Telugu. The various name of this dish has evoked my taste buds. After researching, I come to know about this Indian dish which is made by steaming batter using a mould.  The speciality of the batter is that it is made of black lentils and rice like that of idli and dosa.

One can take it in breakfast to satiate the hunger in the morning.  It’s up to you what type of Kuzhi Paniyaram you will prefer for yourself because they are sweet as well as spicy. It is favourite for many people in South.

This dish has a similarity of Takoyaki, a dish of Japan, and in the Indonesia, it is like Pinyaram. The ingredients are jaggery for sweetness and chillies for savoury. I enjoyed it with the kaara chutney.
